UPDATED DR. STUFF

Went for blood work yesterday, all came back good. Had a little problem with the picc line. When I unscewed my ball, it unscrewed the wrong side of the valve. The line backed up with blood, and wouldn't take a push to clear it. So off to see HCS nurse. She couldn't clear it either, so she just pulled it out. HEY! I'm liking this. Well I had an appointment today with Dr. Azmeh, and she said if he wants to put back, just come see me. Well he didn't put it back. YEAH, YEAH. But he did put me on an oral antibiotic. Another pill. Ya'll outa see my stash. Bet I got 10K worth on the street.

OK, I Tim and Al both still working on the fishing trip. I'm still trying to work in a trip to San Fran. I keep you posted on how my weird schedule works out.

CONGRATULATIONS JODY KAY

For those who didn't know Jody Kay graduated from nursing school yesterday. Cumma Sum Laude, (well excuse me). NO, way to go Jody, we're proud of you.

Sorry I took so long to post, been running with all these Dr's. I started my new chemo treatments Monday. The new stuff is called Alitma. It's got a few side effects. It hit me with fatigue, sore muscles and joints. It also causes fluid retention, so I'm a little bloated. I think their going to do a new scan next week. I hope so.

Next issue: I came up with an eye infection. Two more prescriptions, I think I'm up to eight now. Seems like soon as I get over one thing, something else pops up. I just roll with the flow.

Went back to BRPT this week and they upped my workout. Sure was sore that night, but I was out of therapy for 4 weeks. I going to try to get back where I was, but this boot thing on my leg kinda dictates what I do.

Well it's going to be a busy weekend. So I'll blog atcha later.

DUMP THE PUMP

Got rid of my (baby, as Wanda called it) pump this morning. This makes it a lot easier to do things. I had to wear it in a fanny pack. Now we have this little pressurized ball, about the size of a baseball. You just plug it in and it starts dosing by itself. It takes about 30 min. I'm loving it.

UDATED .... Dr VISIT

Went to Dr. Yad this morning, he said my blood work looks good. He upped my schedule. Gave me a B-12 shot and put me on vitamins, so they can start me back on chemo Monday. Still haven't had the scan yet, 2 weeks I think.

I go tommorrow to get the new syringe injection, and dump the pump. YEAH!!!

That will help with attending functions and events. Bet I know somebody getting busy about now. Good luck guys I know you all will do a fine job.

Still have a little trouble with the back, but he wants to treat that and continue the antibiotics before they do another injection.

Well, not much more to report, but will update tommorrow.

OK .......... GOOD NEWS

Went to Dr. Asmeh yesterday, he's the infection Dr. When he walked in he didn't even recognize me. He said when he saw me in hospital, he thought that would be the last time. Said blood count is stable, but he wants to bring it down, so 3 more weeks on the antibotics.

The good news is, I don't have to have this bag anymore. He going to prescibe an injection syringe that we can push through the picc line, at home, don't have to go to Dr. So I getting the Dr. visits down. OK gotta go Wanda's waiting for me.

What ....... NO FISHIN

Yeah, went to the HCS nurse, she's the one who takes care of the picc line in my arm. Then went to physical therapy. Both recommend to stay away from fish slime and the marine type environment. ARE THEY FREAKIN CRAZY ?? No they both said that an infection from marine parasites is a bad mutha, and very hard to cure.

Hey Tim, I might still be able to pull it off, swiped some really cool gloves off a turn-a-round trailer the other day.

Other than that, everything is pretty much the same. Me foot is coming along real good. Got about 2 more weeks of the unna boot, though.

I'll have the IV for about 2 more weeks, my SAID count is 85, they want it lower than that. I guess that's how they check for the infection.

Well enough boring stuff. Lets bring on the wedding and do little partying.

Foot Dr.

Ha, you freaks, I knew that picture would get you talking.

Went to the foot Dr. today. He said the ulcer looks real good (is that like jumbo shrimp, how can an ulcer look good (lol)). I'll have to keep doing the boot for about three more weeks. Turns out all the drugs, chemicals and treatments I've been through causes a slow recovery for other types of problems.

Hey if ya'll or anybody you know is a race fan. We're not going to Talladega, I have a premium weekend package, 2 sets of tickets, Truck Race Sat. night (this is awsome), cup race Sunday. 2 tickets together, Talladega tower bout 50ft from start/finish line, looking straight down pit rode. These are killer seats. I decided not to go until I get little better, there is lots of walking (especially vertical) good exercise thought. Free to u guys, otherwise $200.00.<===== Thats still a deal.

So back to party barges and fishing. I'll have to watch the things I do while I've got the boot on. Can't get it wet, or get all sweaty and stuff, it melts. But I can ride a PB and sit on pier and fish. The fishing thing sounds better all the time. What? with this weather and stuff. Just what ever we do we'll have to watch the number of Furnish's in one place at same time (you know our Family Murphys Law lol) naaaaah we can overcome this.

Well no more appointments till the 15th, this is when they will do a full body MRI and comparison. Unless Wanda convinces them to give another shot in back. It's been acting up some and they expected I would have to have a couple more shots to fix it up.

OK I'll get back to ya'll in a day or so unless something happens.

Nothing Special

Well nothing really happening right now. Hey Tim, screwed up and answered your comment on 9/28 instead of blog'n it here. Had one little scare today (well Wanda did). Just about the time I was going to post, the alarm on my pump went off. Said HIGH PRESSURE, that's me pushin back, nnnaaaa, Turns out it was either a bad battery, or a partially plugged line. But we ran to the house and got it taken of. What a boring life, I'm glad I don't have to wright about it for a living.
