Ok some good and some bad. I'll try to explain it without alot of Dr. mumbo jumbo. This is straight off the report. Had the scans Wednesday.
CT CHEST
Multiple cysts in the lungs consistent with COPD. There are two somewhat linear densities in both upper lobes, a little smaller than on 8/19/07. Study shows increased pleural based density in the posterior right upper lobes measuring about 2.5 cm which could represent neoplasm.
This was the lungs, not much change, so I think this was good.
CT PELVIS
Scanning of the pelvis shows no intrapelvic mass, adenopathy or free fluid. No bone lesion detected. Bilateral pars defects at L5 again seen. (Bad Back) All other organs ok, except for below.
MRI BRAIN
There is a 5 mm focal enhancement in the anterior aspect of the left cerebellum and 3 mm enhancement within the brain just to the left of sylvian aqueduct and these findings have not changed since 9/14/07. The previosly noted enhancment along the inferior aspect of the posterior right temporal lobe is smaller than on the last exam. There is a faint 3 mm enhancement in the right parietal cortex which is also smaller than on /914/07.
So theres really no change in the brain. I guess the radiation worked.
Now the bad stuff.
CT ABDOMEN
There are multiple metastatic lesions thoughout the liver showing progression with increase in size and number of metastatic liver lesions since 8/19/07. There are several small paraaortic lymph nodes, the largest 7 mm showing mild increase in size since the last study. Extensive metastatic liver desease which has progressed since 8/19/07.
There ya have it. My liver is cratering.
I'll let ya'll go look up all them fancy dancy words on the internet. The Dr. is going to change my chemo treatment next week. We're gonna go back to the aggresive one we started with. He changed it thinking the side effects would be milder, but he feels like I'm in good enough shape to handle the other one. I've gotten back regular at my exercising. I sure hope it does some good.

Hang in there Daddio. The aggressive stuff did great last time so I have no doubt in this. I'll be there to hang out again for the long hours of chemo, i'm always here! I love you more than anything in this world.
