OK, had a chemo treament last Tuesday. It went real well with the Medi-Port. It's not what I thought. It's a deal about the size of a quater. They put it in my arm pit under the skin. The skin grows over it, this is what protects it. Then when they use it, they stick this butterfly looking thing through the skin into the vein. No pain, blood, brusing, etc.
The side effects weren't to bad. Got the dry mouth again, everything taste like crap. But thats what ice cream and milkshakes are for. Actually, Wanda's got down pat. Fix soft food and etc. The fatigue was a little worse this time. It hits about the third day, and you don't want to do anything. I stayed home a couple days, did a little work and today I feel good. Time to get back to business.
I go see Dr. McNeil this week, maybe I can get rid of this boot. Got little bad news the other day. Dr. Yad don't want me to fly or ride a train. His says in case of emergency, you can't stop a plane or train. So anywhere I go we'll have to drive. It's not so bad, except the gas prices.
Jerry goes tomorrow for his surgey, lets all send our prays to him.
Well I'll blog again when I have more info.
GOD BLESS YA'LL / WE LOVE YA'LL
P.S. the American Cancer Society Relay for Life is coming up, I'll post the details when they come out.
